I don't think it matters whether minorities get into the best colleges, I think the more important number is how many get into any college or University. That's where your true racial development numbers will come from. Most whites tend to have a problem with a scholarship that is only eligible for a minority, but they don't seem to argue when they have a trust fund, their parents had a college fund, their parents actually went to college, they actually had both parents, their parents actually pushed education, and the biggest problem they had to worry about before college was if they were cool or not or whether their parents were going to get them the car they wanted or some other car. When I compare my childhood with those of my white co-workers, none have had to go through the things I did to get where I am at. Some of them went to ivy-league, I went to an HBCU. Let's compare manager ratings, I am pretty close to top dog every year. And supposedly I am the least educated. My point is that I had to so things to avoid selling drugs that they have never had to do. I have been beaten, shot at, and even had to deal with gang violence in my school all the time. The school in my neighborhood had the worst teachers, most of the parents of the kids were either unknown or locked up, and I wasn't allowed to go outside most of the time because of the violence and everything in my neighborhood. Meanwhile my counterparts are still mad at their parents for buying them the brand new 4 door sedan instead of a sports car in high school. Seriously.
