Default Do colleges consider your AP grades during

admission? If u have a high gpa, but some low ap test scores, would that look bad, or do the ap test scores even matter. See, next year, i'm taking ap lang. but one teacher is super tough, but her students have good test scores on the ap exam, the other is easier, but her students are less sucessfull at the ap exam. what should i do?

I know for a fact that if you're a U.S student applying to a university in the UK, it matters a lot.

yes. colleges want to know how you would do in a college course, hence the grade you get on your AP test. do the best you can because it will show your committment to that AP course. good luck! =]

Not only does it matter to most colleges that you have good AP grades but it is to your ultimate advantage to take your course from the harder teacher as you will then be more knowledgeable in the language (as well as being better prepared to make a good score on the AP test.)s

My guidance counselor told me (when I signed up for AP Human Geography) that some colleges won't even look at your AP scores and some will. It depends on the college and probably if the class you took has something to do with what you're majoring in.

Colleges do consider AP grades when accepting students. Whether you fail or not, it looks better on your record to have an AP class. Even if you fail the AP test, you can still get good grades in the class, and the colleges will see that you are motivated enough to try an AP course.
