Default Should I choose to participate in a college

program now? Next year I'll be a rising high school student. I have a choice: go to high school or go to a college and study for high school and college courses there. I don't want to leave my friends and my mother doesn't want me to stay on campus and be away from her at the age of 14.I WILL BE AWAY FROM MY FAMILY & FRIENDS

Go to college. The biggest difference there is that people go to college to learn. The education you'll recieve is much better, and I don't know about your state, but in Washington, we get college credit for that program (called "Running Start" here). While true that you won't see your friends as often, you also won't be distracted by anything preventing you from getting your life truly in order. And if you're in such a position to do this, it's obvious that you're atleast somewhat passionate about schooling.Besides, you can always see your friends after school or on the weekends, right? Ultimately you'll have to choose where importance lies, but realistically, you shouldn't have any regrets later on either way. It's just what I think would benefit you the most.

Stick in high school. You seem like a well thought over person conserned about the future. But going to your program you wounldn't get the same social expeirence. As akward as it seems, the high school social experience will impact you and help you out a lot for you life. Also, I doubt you have developed the good study skills you will need for college

oh wow!! Thats a tough decision... I would stay on school and try to take college courses there.. at our school when you get to be a sophomore you start taking college courses if your grades are good enough so like you could start college as a sophomore depending on how many you took.

college all the way. You would still see your friends on the weedends, and youll be getting more bang for your buck learning more, not to mension it will make going to a four year college much easier.
