Default Which carries more weight in college admissions: GPA...

...or SAT? I was wondering if you have a kinda low GPA (as in maybe a 3.57 at the end of sophomore year) but a high SAT, can that still keep you in the running for Ivy Leagues and Stanford? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the SAT has more affect. But, a GPA like 3.57, will not unfortunately get you into an Ivy League or stanford. You'd need a near perfect score. Harvard and the Ivy leagues are better than UCLA, right? The students at UCLA have a combined GPA of 4.11. just imagine of how high Harvard and Stanford are.

GPA is always considered more than SAT scores.A student with an SAT score of say 1400 might also have a GPA of 2.50, this might indicate that while the student is bright but not work oriented.
