Going back to college after 26 years

Thank you Barbara for this forum. I'm 50 years old, returning to the same college I withdrew from in 1980. So many new policies have made my experience rather tough, but I'm trying to overcome all stumbling blocks. I am considering sugessting an on campus support group for others in similar situations.

JDM, Congratulations on your academic efforts! I'm 51 and this summer I embarked on my third and final year back to school. Having come back to school with well over 100 credits, and many institutuions behind me, I feel like an "old", wise woman. This is a marathon that is well worth every struggle. I have asked for support groups at both schools I've attended since my return. Neither has responded yet. Perhaps yours will be more responsive.
