Default i have a question about college

credits? i just received my bs in history and my ba in education last week. now i would like to get a degree in accounting. i am planning on going to a different university and i was wondering if i would have to take another 4 years for this major, or if i would only have to take 2 years and then transfer my core classes i already took. thanks!

You should probably contact that college you are thinking of going to and seeing what the requirements are for your new degree choice. They should be able to tell you if you have to take everything all over again or possibly transfer some of your already taken credit courses to that college. Speak to someone in admissions is your best bet. Good luck.

The university you apply to will tell you which credits will transfer for the new degree. You should be able to transfer most of the core classes (English, sciences etc.) Don't be surprised if they say some classes may not transfer since, of course, they will have their own slants on departmental classes.

That's quite a change! Anyway, The core classes should apply to another undergrad program. Talk with the school you are planning on attending. It's their policy that will determine, not anything here. If you haven't taken any accounting it may take 3 years. You will most likely be taking stat and bus. calc. plus other business electives. In some states it can take almost 5 yrs. to complete the accounting degree.good luck
